I bought my girl a brand new car
But she said thanks, but no thanks
She didn’t want a Cadillac
She wanted 20 German tanks
To this I didn’t know what I should say
So, I got her 20 horses and a silver sleigh

She climbed in side and bravely gathered up the reins
She drove those horses till they had all lost their brains
To this I didn’t know what I should do
So I bought her a blonde eagle
With a vest of blue

She rode that eagle everyday
Till the feather left it’s wings
He lost his hair his vest of blue
And now he never sings
To this I didn’t know what I should say
So, I got her 40 horses and a golden sleigh’
She left me yesterday
I gave you everything
I gave you everything
I gave you everything
