Years ago, a dear friend, gifted me a framed quote that states: "To have a friend, be a friend". "You taught me this on the golf course, by being quick to give me a mulligan after a bad shot", he said. Nice. I think the same goes for attracting love and being in love. The bottom-line is that when people have love in their lives and in their hearts, they are just "downright happier". Just ask the birds and the bees. So, would it not be wise to learn how this whole "love thing" works by starting the process of learning how to love, by being kind to yourself, so you can understand how to love another person and other people? Take your time and go easy on yourself AND the people around you, as you "flow through" this process. It takes "two to tango", ya know? Especially when life is a "non-stop tango": Cha-cha-cha. So, if you look around yourself, and inside of yourself, it helps you if you learn to emulate a calm, internal "give and take" and nurture the ancient, esoteric male and female aspects of oneself to complete a circle of growth and completeness. Ahhhhhh. These are the quiet musings that "flow through" this song. That's A LOT to pack into a song, ya know. let alone unpacking it. So, I envision the lyrics opening like one of my mother's roses, unfolding slowly in the morning sun. That said, this web page features, two versions of this single. One is a country-flavored band track and the second one is an intimate guitar-vocal solo track. Take your pick.
