This is a Country-Folk-Rock track with a Dylan vibe, Don Henley ponderability and Jerry Garcia guitar resonance. Did I leave anybody out (LOL)? Anyway, it is entitled, "Modern Progress". It was inspired by a couple cross-country road trips, where I retraced some old touring routes between Chicago and LA. The real catalyst was when I swung through central Kansas and Kansas City and saw all the changes that had popped up in our country. The song moves along like you're riding in a .... car! I love the cover photo of two dinosaurs battling it out under a single light-pole out on the waving prairie. That says it all...
