This is a collection of two versions of this 3-Time ˇTop Song Nomination" at the HIMA/HMMA Awards in Hollywood for "Best Song" and "Best Acoustic Song". One is a band version and there is a powerful, solo acoustic track included, too. It was inspired by all the people who succumb to the depths of personal tragedy caused by drug addiction. It was inspired by the passing of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jimi Hendrix, Tim & Jeff Buckley, John Belushi, Heath Ledger and so many unnamed people who slipped away from life when they felt they had nowhere to turn. Interestingly enough, some kick their habits and then chose to celebrate their success only to have it backfire on them. An issue I address fervently in this song.
