This song was awarded the "Best Route 66 Theme Song and Grand Prize Award" in the International Route 66 Theme Song Contest in Springfield, Il USA on September 21-22, 2002. This song collection includes a SOLO version, a country rock version and an instrumental version.
The song was inspired by Chet's Americana novel, "The Last Riders On Route 66", which is in it's 4th printing (2024) and available at Amazon.
